Program Requirements

To successfully complete the Building Your Business Portfolio program students are required to do the following:

1.      Enroll in PDA 100: Building Your Business Portfolio each major semester (fall, spring).

*Note: PDA 100 is only a requirement for students in the 2013 catalog or later.

2.      Successfully complete nine (9) approved PDAs, not including PDA 100.

Each semester, the Wall Center for Excellence establishes a calendar of approved PDAs available to students. These activities include professional development workshops that help students develop and improve specific skills, such as time management, personal finance, leadership, interpersonal management, delivering effective presentations, resume writing and behavior-based interviewing techniques. A variety of additional activities may be offered including guest speakers, leadership programs, service projects, business competitions, conferences and field experiences. While some of the PDAs are useful to all Wall College students, other PDAs are targeted to students with more specific career interests. Consequently, students have the flexibility to select PDAs that are specific to their interests. Students may also request that alternative activities or events be included as a PDA by petitioning the Wall Center for Excellence and showing relevance of the activity and/or event. Students should select and participate in at least one (1) PDA from the list provided on the website each semester.
