Broderick Daniel
Name: Broderick Daniel
Hometown: Irmo, S.C.
Year in School: Junior
Major: Information Technology
When asked what he would tell a freshman on his/her first day on campus, Broderick Daniel replied with the following:
“Put yourself out there.”
And why not? By following that advice himself, Broderick has established himself as a well-liked and very involved member of the student body. From Irmo, S.C., he came to Coastal because of the rave reviews from graduates of the Department of Computing Sciences. An information technology major, Broderick knew from the start that he was attending an institution that would prepare him for a thriving career in the IT industry.
But while Broderick has definitely maintained his focus on his academic pursuits, he has also managed to become deeply involved within the campus community. He is part of numerous CCU groups, including the Coastal Activities Board (CAB) and WCCU radio. He is an executive board member for Coastal’s chapter of the NAACP and is part of the African American Initiative for Males.
Verdict is still out on whether Broderick will pursue a job in his field immediately after graduation or go to graduate school. However, as a junior, he still has time to decide his path while also making more memories as a Chanticleer.
