Jordan Gobble
Name: Jordan Gobble
Hometown: Bristol, Va.
Year in School: Senior
Major: Marine Science
This past Saturday, Jordan Gobble capped off one of the experiences that truly made her decision to transfer to Coastal Carolina worthwhile. The senior marine science student from Bristol, Va., performed with the Chanticleer Regiment as part of the color guard for the final time. However, just because she is done performing inside Brooks Stadium does not mean her enthusiasm for Coastal and her future career has dwindled.
Describing herself as “passionate,” the word also fits how she feels about Coastal. A big reason why she has grown to enjoy CCU so much is because of the activities she has been able to engage in. A competitive swimmer for 15 years, Jordan loves the water. She has taken every opportunity to pursue this interest since transferring in as a junior. She is a member of Aqua League. She serves as a lifeguard. She teaches swim lessons. She spends her free time at the ocean.
Considering her strong relationship with the water, it probably comes as no surprise that Jordan is a marine science major. Taking it a step further, it probably won’t shock you that one day she wants to work at an aquarium. However, before launching into a career of that nature, Jordan says she would not mind traveling around the world and gaining some experience. Wherever she travels to and whatever experiences she comes across, it is probably safe to assume that water will be nearby.
