Communication, Languages and Cultures @ Coastal
The Department of Communication, Languages and Cultures offers programs of study that prepare students for a variety of careers in industry, government, health, media, journalism, public relations, entertainment, and education or advanced study in graduate programs.
Faculty are committed to our students and their success. This commitment means our students receive grounding in the history, structure, process, and functions of communication in a variety of contexts. Our courses build skills in critical thinking to integrate different perspectives within the communication disciplines and apply them to professional, personal, and civic life. Each student works with a faculty advisor to map out a program of study that supports his or her interests and career aspirations.
More than 600 Coastal Carolina University students currently study Communication, Languages and Cultures and over 280 others have chosen a minor in the department.
