MUSICIANS AS POSITIVE LEADERS: HOW MUSICIANS HELP US LEAD MORE FLOURISHING LIVES  

Guest artist and scholar Melissa Forbes, associate professor of contemporary music at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, speaks with Dale Cox, assistant professor in CCU’s Department of Music, about music’s contribution to individuals’ health and well-being. They will discuss music’s shifting role from aesthetic product to beneficial process as well the impact of generative artificial intelligence on music production. The session will promote the value of musicians as unique cultural and social leaders.
