RASHOMON

Akira Kurosawa’s Rashomon (1950) presents a world where truth is elusive and perceptions clash. The film is known for its alternative, subjective, and contradictory versions of the same event: a samurai murdered in a forest. Ron Green, professor and chair in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, provides an introduction and discussion after the screening. The film will be shown in Japanese with English subtitles.
