Welcome to the Academic Affairs Committee web page. Here you will find information about this committee's work, including procedures for getting course and program proposals successfully through the approval process.

Purpose of the Academic Affairs Committee:

"This committee considers and recommends to the Senate actions on requests for additions, deletions or changes in undergraduate courses or programs of the University. The committee also considers and notifies the Senate of minor changes in courses, such as course titles, descriptions, or credit hours. These minor changes do not need Senate approval, but are submitted to the Senate for notification only. When considering additions, deletions, or changes to courses, special attention will be given by the committee to avoid duplication or obsolescence. The committee will also evaluate educational policies, admission standards and new programs of instruction. "

  3. Faculty involved in curriculum development and revision must (re)familiarize themselves with the current Academic Affairs timelines, guidelines, and resources before completing the appropriate forms and submitting them for review. Click here:Guidelines and Resources
