Welcome to the Coastal Carolina University Department of Music Website! On the radio, in the elevator, at the mall, in your head...music is around us almost wherever we go. Whether you're aspiring to career in music or you just like listening to it, the music department has a class for you. You can study music theory or history, or take unique courses about world music or American pop music. There are plenty of opportunities for you to make your own music, too, with private lessons or in one of our choral or instrumental groups. With all the iPods, radios, and online streaming audio, it's difficult to find a place without music, and with our talented faculty, creative student musicians, and amazing opportunities - you won't want to.
