 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.    Students Move In Continues
University Place / Ingle Hall
All students living in University Housing are able to check in during the time period according to their housing assignment. During this time don’t forget to pick up your FREE teal CINO TIE T-shirt!  Please make sure that you have your CINO Card (student ID) on your at all times. 
 
11 a.m. to 12 p.m.    New Student Convocation 
HTC Center

This event is mandatory for all members of the Class of 2017.  Attend your first academic ceremony with the University president, chairman of the board, provost, deans, vice presidents and faculty in regalia (academic robes). Don’t forget to wear your new teal CINO TIE t-shirt to Convocation!! Doors will close at 10:45 a.m.

 
12:30 to 1:30 p.m.    Big Read Discussion
Various Locations
Meet with staff and faculty from across campus and be prepared to discuss the Big Read Book – Playing the Enemy. You will be dismissed to your discussion group immediately following New Student Convocation.
 

2 to 5 p.m.   Math Placement Testing
Wall 108 & 110

This is an opportunity to take or retake your math placement test if needed.

 

4 to 5 p.m.   CINO Rally HTC Center

 
 
5 to 6 p.m.    "How Bout This Party?" 
Wheelwright Auditiorium
This session is for all males living in the Woods, Grand Strand, Low Country and Gardens. This is a mandatory session and all new students must attend one of the sessions during CINO TIE.  This is an interactive theatrical performance where students will have an opportunity to interact with the characters in the performance, and explore their personal attitudes and behaviors through creating what happens on stage. Topics addressed in the performance include sex, alcohol, assault, bystander intervention, victim blaming and support.  
 
5:30 to 8 p.m.    Class of 2018 Cookout
Blanton Park
The biggest cookout of the year-the class of 2018 Cookout. Come out enjoy free food, music, and great times with your new friends.
 
7 to 8 p.m.    "How Bout This Party?" 
Wheelwright Auditiorium
This session is for all females living in the Woods and Eaglin Hall. All commuting females may also attend. This is a mandatory session and all new students must attend one of the sessions during CINO TIE.  This is an interactive theatrical performance where students will have an opportunity to interact with the characters in the performance, and explore their personal attitudes and behaviors through creating what happens on stage. Hicks Dining Hall
We’re so glad you came! Incoming transfer students are invited to enjoy free ice cream, connect with other transfers, network with faculty and staff, learn more about CCU and win cool prizes
