All new Transfer Students are required to attend a 1-Day Orientation program prior to starting their classes. During this Orientation you will meet with representatives from the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarship, the Registrar, Student Activities & Leadership and many others. Also, during this time you will meet with your Academic Advisor and get your semester class schedule.
- Register for your session online:
Please note that you must pay the $100 enrollment deposit before you can register for Orientation. The fee for Transfer Orientation is $70 and allows each student to bring up to two guests with them to Orientation. A written confirmation will be mailed 7-10 business days after registration is received. Orientation Fees are Non-refundable.
- Placement Exams:
Foreign Language: All Transfer students who have not taken a college level foreign language course are required to take the online foreign language placement test at least TWO weeks prior to attending Orientation.
Math Placement: All Transfer students who have not taken a college level algebra course will be required to take the on-site COMPASS math placement exam on Wednesday, January 8 at 5:00 p.m. prior to their Orientation or schedule a time with the Academic Testing Center prior to their orientation date. Please note that a statistics course is not considered a math class for placement purposes.
- Send your transcripts:
Most academic departments begin working on students' class schedules prior to Orientation. In order to assure that students are being placed in the correct courses it is important that all final transcripts are received prior to Orientation.
