Panhellenic CrestPanhellenic Council Opened for Extension

The Panhellenic Council is excited to announce that they have opened for extension for the first time in four years.  The extension committee is looking forward to presentations through the month of March and April. A recommendation will be made to the Panhellenic Council on Monday, April 14th based off of feedback from the Fraternity & Sorority Community and Extension Committee.  The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life and the Panhellenic Community is excited to offer a new experience to unaffiliated women starting in Fall 2014.



Pi Kappa Alpha Pi Kappa Alpha Set to Return Fall 2014

The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity in conjunction with Coastal Carolina University will be starting the newest Fraternity on campus during the Fall Semester of 2014. Pi Kappa Alpha seeks men that are Scholars, Leaders, Athletes and Gentlemen. If you know a current or future student at Coastal Carolina University that exemplifies these qualities please submit his information in the below form. The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life is pleased to announce the 2014-2015 FSL Student Coordinators.  Kaitlyn Bailey, Junior, Alpha Delta Pi, Ty Pelletier, Junior, Kappa Sigma, and Lexi Veara, Junior, Gamma Phi Beta.  The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life is lucky to have three student coordinators this year to help support the continued efforts in chapter advisement, leadership and program development, and educational opportunities for our quickly expanding community!  Please help us in welcoming Kaitlyn, Ty, and Lexi!

2013-2014 Greek Awards Applications Due March 19th!

Awards for the Student Involvement and Leadership Awards Ceremony were available for students and chapters on March 3, 2014 and are due via Coastal Connections on March 19, 2014.  This year awards for fraternities and sororities are separate from other recognized student organizations in an effort to recognize the unique experiences and achivements accomplished by chapter members and to prepare the community for a separate Greek Awards Banquet in December 2014.  Awards include Chapter of the Year, Most Improved Chapter, Outstanding Community Service by a Chapter, Outstanding Philanthropy by a Chapter, Outstanding Campus Involvement by a Chapter, Chapter President of the Year, Greek Man and Greek Woman, Chapter Advisor and many more. Please join us for the Student Involvement and Leadership Awards Ceremony on Monday, April 22nd in Wheelwright at 7:00 p.m.

UIFI PostcardUIFI Applications are Live

The Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI) is a five day institute that brings together fraternity men and sorority women from across North America to create opportunities to explore, define, and enhance their leadership skills, personal awareness, commitment to their fraternity or sorority, and grow to expect values based action from themselves and those they lead.  At UIFI, you will be given the skills to improve your own leadership abilities and positively affect your chapter, council, and community.  12 sessions are offered over the summer on IU's campus in Indiana and it costs $460.00 plus travel costs to attend.  The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life is looking to sponsor one man and one woman to attend.  Any interested student should contact Ariel Tarosky at atarosky@coastal.edu
