Jody Davis |
Jody came to Coastal Carolina in the fall of 1992 from Georgia Southwestern College. He did his graduate work at The Citadel where he was responsible for Intramurals, Deas Hall, and teaching in the Physical Education Department. As the Director he is responsible the overall mission of the program and leading the professional and student staff. His interests include Water sports, Cycling, Tennis, Golf, and spending time with his family. He is married to a former Coastal Carolina Volleyball player Martha Metts Davis for 27 years and is the father of four girls, Lindsey (23), Abby (22), Katie (18), and Gracie (12). |

Tara S. Josey
|
Tara joined the Campus Recreation team in 1998 beginning her work in aquatics & fitness. In July of 2012, she transitioned into the HTC Student Recreation Center as the Associate Director, and is responsible for programming group exercise, personal training programs and all things fitness. After receiving her undergraduate at Shepherd University, she completed her Masters at Marshall University before coming to Coastal. Tara enjoys running as well as spending time with her husband Spencer, family, friends and her lab Millie. |

Jake Rosiek |
Jake manages the Williams-Brice Physical Education Center as well as the Intramural Sports program at CCU. Jake has been with Campus Recreation at Coastal Carolina since 2004 where he joined us after finishing his graduate assistantship at Georgia Tech while earning a M.S. in Sport Administration from Georgia State. Jake hails from the Atlanta area and also completed his undergraduate work at Georgia Tech. Jake officiates high school and college basketball and football. Jake stays busy chasing his children Caulin (4) and Cate (1), playing golf and reading. |

Max Mello |
Max joined the Campus Recreation staff in 2010 as the Club Sports Coordinator. In 2012, he assumed the role of Climbing Wall Coordinator as well when the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center opened. He was born and raised in Houston, TX and attended Texas State University – San Marcos where he received a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science. Max was a Graduate Assistant at the University of Tennessee, earning a Master’s in Sport Management. Max also officiates high school and college lacrosse and volleyball. His hobbies include hunting, hiking, snowboarding, running with his dog Ruger, being outdoors, cooking, and drinking good coffee. |

Mark Miller |
Mark joined Campus Recreation in July 2012 as the Coordinator of Aquatics. He was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and Attended Indiana University – Bloomington where he received a B.S. In Park and Recreation Management. Mark was a Graduate Assistant at James Madison University, earning a Masters in Campus Recreation Leadership. Mark's hobbies include running, cycling, water sports, being outdoors, and cooking/eating delicious food. |

Herb Thompson |
Herb came to Coastal Carolina in 1991 as the Academic Advisor for the Department of Athletics. Three years later he transferred to the Department of Campus Recreation where he currently serves as the Recreation Facility Coordinator in the HTC Student Recreation & Convocation Center. Herb received a B.S. in Physical Education and Recreation from Howard University in Washington D.C. and a M.S. in Recreation Administration from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Herb taught at Howard University for 12 years, and served as Director of Intramural sports at Howard and Gallaudet University. He is a formal high school official in both basketball and football in the state of South Carolina. Herb is married and has one son, Tai, who is a Coastal graduate with a degree in Graphic Design. He is very active in his church, and enjoys bike riding, cooking, and golf. |

Harriette Louis |
Harriette joined Campus Recreation in November of 2011 after being on CCU's campus in other departments since 2005. Harriette was born and raised on the Grand Strand having been born and raised in Myrtle Beach and has been a Conway resident for over 30 years. She earned a a BS in Home Economics from Erskine College. More importantly, she raised two daughters and was made the happiest person in the world in May 2012 upon the arrival of her grandson. Prior to Coastal, she worked in several family businesses and enjoys cooking and traveling with my husband, Joe. |

Layne Davis |
Layne Davis is the Outdoor Coordinator for Campus Recreation. She oversees Coastal Cycles bike rental program and the Outdoor Center at the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center. Layne received her Masters in Public Health from Bowling Green State University while working as a Graduate Assistant in their Campus Recreation department. She came to CCU from Central Michigan University in the Fall of 2012. Layne enjoys being active and outdoors. She also teaches fitness classes at the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center. |
