Mountain Bike Rides Fridays at 4:15pm in February, starting 2/13

Mountain Bike Rides are back!  Participants will meet at the Outdoor Center at the HTC and ride from campus through Waccamaw Wildlife Refuge trails. Rides are free for students, faculty, and staff and all fitness levels are welcome. Participants are welcome to bring their own bike or rent from the Outdoor Center. Come early to rent a bike! No registration necessary.

February 14th Valentines Paddle Kayak Tour 2pm-4pm

Bring your sweetie, friend, or come on your own and enjoy a fun 2-hour paddle down the river. Participants must register in advance for this trip. Cost: $10.00 per person, all gear included. *

February 21st Climbing Wall Skills Workshop

Come learn the basics of climbing techniques on the HTC indoor climbing wall. You will learn new skills and get to climb during this 2-hour workshop. All gear for climbing will be provided. This workshop is free, but you must register in advance.

 March 21st Waccamaw Kayak Tour

Joins us for a 2-Hour Paddle on the Waccamaw River. Learn about kayaking & this beautiful river on a fun, low-key adventure. Participants must register in advance for this trip. Cost: $10.00 per person, all gear included.*

 March 21st Paddle Board Workshop

1.5-Hour Paddleboard Workshop on the Waccamaw River. Great for beginners, as the Waccamaw River is an easy place to learn how to use a Stand-up Paddleboard in flat, calm waters. Cost: $10.00 per person, all gear included.*

 Mondays in April (7th-28th) Walk in the Woods

Joins us for weekly walks through the Waccamaw Wildlife Refuge in April. We will meet on Mondays at 4pm at the Jackson Bluff trailhead behind University Place and walk 2-3 miles of the flat, beautiful trails. No registration necessary.

April 11th Faculty & Staff Sandy Island Kayak Tour 2pm-6pm  

CCU Faculty & Staff, join professional kayak tour group Black River Outdoors for this 4-Hour tour where we will paddle along the beautiful winding creeks of Sandy Island. Register in advance, space is limited. Spouses & family members welcome. Participants must be 18+ to attend this trip. Cost: $45 per person. 

April 26th Waccamaw Kayak Tour

Learn about kayaking & this beautiful river on a fun, low-key adventure. Participants must register in advance for this trip. Cost: $10.00 per person, all gear included. *

 April l 26th Paddle Board Workshop

*For Paddle Board & Kayak Trips, Transportation is not provided to the river. Students must meet there. The Waccamaw River is an easy drive, only about 2 miles from campus. Trip Leaders will meet you at the river with all the gear you need, including your board or kayak.
