c. Expendable Supplies
This category may include a variety of consumable supplies such as office supplies, glassware, chemicals, and educational supplies. Depending on the requirements of the sponsoring agency a single total for this category may be all that is necessary. However, be prepared to supply a detailed breakdown of unit costs if requested. Generally the Sate imposes a 5% use tax on all supplies and materials purchased from outside suppliers. This tax will also be charged against your grant.
