The driver was interviewed and the officer requested that the driver attempt SFSTs. The driver was not able to successfully complete the SFSTs and admitted to being intoxicated. The driver was taken into custody and during an inventory of the contents of the vehicle marijuana, xanax, and paraphernalia were discovered. the driver was transported to a breath testing facility, the vehicle was towed. The driver's breath sample confirmed they were over the legal limit. The driver was issued citations and transported to the Horry County Detention Center. A warrant will be obtained and served on the driver for the possession of a controlled substance. |
