Transportation

The use of alternative transportation can help reduce parking demands, promote healthy lifestyles and help create a cleaner environment. At Coastal Carolina University, students, staff and faculty have the opportunity to use alternative transportation on-campus:

Coastal Cycles Bicycle Program

Campus Recreation is offering free bicycle rental through the Coastal Cycles program. For more information, please visit www.coastal.edu/cycles or visit Campus Rec on campus.

Coastal Carolina University's Coastal Cycles Program is a free bike sharing program for use by students, staff and faculty. The program helps to reduce parking demands, promote healthy lifestyles and help create a cleaner environment.

Campus Shuttle

The Campus Shuttle offers daily bus service for main campus, East campus and University Place, plus a special route on specific days to downtown Conway, SC, including shopping and the movie theater.  In addition, CCU students may use their CINO card to ride for free on any normal Coast RTA bus route through the U-PASS program, which includes service to Myrtle Beach, including Broadway at the Beach, Tanger Outlets and Coastal Grande Mall.  For all information, maps and schedules, please see the Campus Shuttle webpage.

Ride Board

The Coastal Ride Board gives students, faculty and staff the ability to make carpool arrangements. For details about Rides Wanted and Rides Needed, please visit the Coastal Ride Board online at http://www.coastal.edu/ocss/ride-board/

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Located near Palmetto Hall, Coastal offers two electric vehicle charging stations for use by students on campus.  These stations were installed in cooperation with Santee Cooper and Plug-In Carolina
