Ms. Kim Schumacher
Kim Schumacher is a Lecturer of Interactive Journalism for the Department of Communication at Coastal Carolina University.
She earned her MA in Communication from Syracuse University, and a BA from the State University of New York at Oswego.
Her career has spanned professional Television News Reporting for nearly 20 years. Most recently, she spent over 8 years as a General Assignment Reporter for WRIC-TV 8, the ABC affiliate in Richmond, VA. While reporting there she covered several national stories including the 2007 Virginia Tech Massacre, 2011 Virginia Tech Murder/Suicide, the Michael Vick Dogfighting cases (federal and state), and a visit of Queen Elizabeth II. Prior to Richmond, Kim spent over 6 years as a General Assignment Reporter for WBTW-News13, the CBS affiliate in Myrtle Beach, SC. Early in her career, she was a General Assignment Reporter for WNEG-TV, the CBS affiliate in Toccoa, GA and NewsChannel 6, a cable station in Wappingers Falls, NY. Kim has also been an Anchor, Reporter and News Director for commercial radio stations in NY and GA.

Mr. Brian Roessler
Brian Roessler is a Lecturer with the Department of Communication at Coastal Carolina University. He earned his undergraduate degree in Communication Media from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his Master of Arts in Communication Management from Webster University.
Mr. Roessler is a songwriter, performer, open mic host, Muse on the Waccamaw board member and board member and music coordinator for the Create! Conway Arts Organization.
