2012 Women's Leadership Conference & Celebration of Inspiring Women held
The second Women's Leadership Conference & Celebration of Inspiring Women – called "Speak UP! Give Voice to the Vision" – was held Monday, March 19 and Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel.
The Women's Leadership Conference serves to educate, motivate and challenge women to become change-makers in their own lives, their communities and the world. The much-anticipated 2012 program builds upon a highly successful inaugural event with a roster of notable speakers from the fields of entrepreneurship, business, media, politics and more. The remarkable speakers and the shared energy of women of all ages, backgrounds, occupations and professional levels who connect at this powerful event will offer you the inspiration to lead, to serve, to choose to make a difference.
The 2012 program presents expert speakers who encourage women to speak up, take action, and use their voices to become more effective in the workplace, in the political arena, in managing their health and more.
The Celebration of Inspiring Women, to be held Tuesday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m., honors individuals for their outstanding contributions to our state, region, nation and world. The Inspiring Women Awards were created as an important and lasting way to recognize the incredible achievements of South Carolina women.
The Women's Leadership Conference and Celebration of Inspiring Women are programs of Women in Philanthropy and Leadership for Coastal Carolina University. Proceeds from the Conference support WIPL Scholarships for Coastal Carolina University students and other leadership initiatives.
Conference registration ($220 early bird, $249 regular) includes the following: access to plenary sessions, concurrent sessions, exhibit areas, book-signings, lunch and breaks both days; networking reception Monday evening; continental breakfast Tuesday morning. The Celebration of Inspiring Women registration ($125) includes admission to the Tuesday, March 19 evening cocktail reception, seated dinner and awards program.
