Educational background: Bachelor of Arts in sociology and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  M.A.Ed. in counselor education from East Carolina University.

Hometown: West Jefferson, N.C.

Professional experience: School counseling, vocational rehabilitation, academic advising, and TRIO Upward Bound

Hobbies/interests: Reading, crafting, Marvel Universe, Tar Heel basketball and football, singing, and sitting on the beach

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? Italy has always been on my bucket list because I love the food and culture. I can only imagine how beautiful the scenery must be.

Best concert you’ve ever attended, favorite movie, and/or sports team? Garth Brooks was probably the best concert I have ever attended. The energy he brought to the show was amazing! It’s hard to choose a favorite movie, but one that stands out is Steel Magnolias.  I also love all the Marvel and Star Wars movies. My favorite sports team is the North Carolina Tar Heels!

What brought you to CCU? My husband and I wanted to relocate to the beach and to this area. The CCU campus is gorgeous, and the staff and faculty have been so welcoming!
