CCU baseball's 2018 recruiting class ranked among the top 25

Coastal Carolina baseball's 2018 recruiting class received another top 25 national ranking today, as the unit was ranked No. 18 nationally by Collegiate Baseball.

The Chants' recruiting class was ranked in the top 25 of Baseball America's recruiting class rankings for the first-time in program history earlier this month, coming in at No. 25 nationally.

Coastal Carolina, the lone Sun Belt Conference team to be ranked in Baseball America's Top 25 this year, is also the lone conference member to be ranked by Collegiate Baseball.

Highlighted by signees Nick Lucky (14th round – Boston Red Sox), Garrett McDaniels (30th round – Miami Marlins) and Jacob Maton (38th round – Seattle Mariners) that were all drafted in June's 2018 MLB Draft, the Chanticleers' class is comprised up of 15 newcomers, including 12 freshmen and three junior college transfers.

It is the 36th-straight year Collegiate Baseball has evaluated NCAA Division I recruiting classes.
