Parking lot converted to faculty, staff only

The parking lot directly to the left of the Edward M. Singleton building (J lot) has had access control gates installed to control vehicle access to this area. The entrance-only gate is on the Atheneum Hall side of the lot, and the exit-only gate is on the Indigo House side of the lot.

J lot has been designated as a faculty and staff only lot. All faculty/staff members who wish to park in this lot must have a new barcode decal on their vehicles.

The new decals are now available at the Department of Public Safety, which is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The first two decals will be free to any Coastal Carolina University faculty/staff member who needs access to this lot. Additional decals can be purchased for $5 each. There is a specific manner in which you must attach these decals in order for them to operate the gate. There will be a decal placement instruction sheet issued to each employee when you pick up your decal. Please read it carefully and attach the decal correctly to the rear passenger side window of your vehicle. Once the decals are attached they will not come off without damaging the decal.

In order to receive your barcode decal, you must:

1. Have a valid Coastal Carolina University Faculty/Staff parking decal permanently affixed to the inside of your front windshield.
2. Present your faculty/staff identification card and your vehicle registration cards when you pick up your new barcode decal.

In accordance with the Coastal Carolina University Traffic and Parking Regulations, all faculty or staff members who provide a student with a Faculty/Staff parking decal will be subject to loss of Faculty/Staff parking privileges. Students whose parents are faculty or staff members must park in a student space and are not allowed to park in a faculty/staff space no matter what type of decal is on the vehicle.
