Maddox has joined OSPRS

Jennifer Maddox has joined the team in the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research Services (OSPRS). She is a Coastal Carolina University alumna and before joining OSPRS was serving as a health educator for CCU’s Student Health Services Department. After earning her bachelor's degree in health promotion, she then went on to earn a master’s degree in public health from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minn.

Maddox will serve as a grants development coordinator helping to ensure that both new and seasoned PIs have the resources they need to develop their programmatic and research ideas and find potential funding sources; understand regulations, guidelines and procedures for local, state, federal and foundation sponsors; obtain proposal feedback and editing, as requested; prepare and submit sponsor and university-compliant proposals and budgets; obtain required approvals and signatures for proposal submissions; respond to requests from sponsors throughout the proposal process; and gain confidence in all aspects of the grant cycle by participation in group trainings and workshops provided through CeTEAL as well as personalized assistance available for all faculty.

Maddox is a successful grant recipient, experienced grant program manager and outstanding educator and trainer. She is looking forward to working with everyone who is ready to prepare a proposal or even just thinking about program or research projects to come.
