CCU alumna wins Teacher of the Year award

Shannon Shirley, a graduate of Coastal Carolina University, was selected as the Waterway Elementary School Teacher of the Year.

Shirley earned her undergraduate degree in early childhood education and recently graduated in the spring of this year with her Master of Education in Learning and Teaching.

Waterway Elementary is located in Little River.
