Campus Climate Assessment
In Spring 2023, Coastal Carolina University worked with Benchworks by Elentra, a third-party vendor, to administer campus climate assessments to all students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
The purpose of the assessment was to understand and measure students’, faculty, staff, and administrators’ experiences, perceptions, and behaviors with respect to campus climate, safety, and sexual assault at Coastal Carolina University, with the goal of developing strategic initiatives designed to create an inclusive and safe campus environment.
University climate surveys continually evolve over the years, demonstrating a dynamic nature aimed at staying attuned to the community's needs. University Belonging and Student Affairs spearheaded the surveys with the goal of fostering a collegiate environment where every community member feels a sense of belonging, appreciated, and seen.
