Year in School: Senior
Major: Communication

Minor: Graphic Design
When Brittany Southerland made the journey from Cincinnati to Conway for the first time, she said she fell in love with the campus and could not envision herself anywhere else. With an instinct as strong as that, she became a Chanticleer and started what has been a very successful run at Coastal.
A communication major, Brittany has squeezed in a couple minors that will give her that extra edge when it comes to reaching her career goals. With aspirations to work in public relations or marketing, Brittany has wisely chosen to not just study communication but to pursue minor degrees in graphic design and marketing.
But while earning multiple degrees is one thing, picking up actual experience is another. Brittany currently has an internship with Memorable Moments, a wedding planning business where she not only pulls off big events but is entrusted with the task of running the marketing side of the organization as well. The experiences she will pull from this opportunity will undoubtedly help her down the road.
Complimenting Brittany’s academic path and her internship opportunity is her involvement on campus. She is involved with Greek Life, not just as a member of Alpha Xi Delta but as the executive vice president of the Panhellenic Council. A very well-rounded individual, Brittany will be prepared to land a job in her field upon graduation.
