Ehren Williams
Name: Ehren G. Williams
Hometown: Charlotte, N.C.
Year in School: Junior
Major: Elementary Education
Ehren Williams is one of our many students who was sold on CCU the moment she walked on campus. Citing an influential tour guide (Teal Trailblzaer) and a beautiful backdrop to get an education, Ehren knew Coastal was for her. Thus, the Charlotte product moved to Conway to begin her undergraduate journey.
Living by her life motto of “trust the process,” Ehren put her faith in the Spadoni College of Education. With a dream to become a teacher, she quickly found out that placing her trust in our professors was the right move. Impressed by how the faculty offered a curriculum focused on the future of teaching and the necessity of classroom technology, Ehren had no doubts that she would be molded into a new age teacher.
With her academic path going in the right direction, Ehren became involved on campus. She joined Women of Color (WOC) and was accepted as a SNAP mentor. She also decided to follow in the shoes of the student who played a big part in attracting her to CCU. You guessed it, Ehren is a Teal Trailblazer. In this role, she has the same influence on future Chanticleers that Franasia Chantelle Safayan-Greene, Ehren’s tour guide, had on her.
“The best part about being a Teal Trailblazer is seeing your tourers come back to campus and them saying, ‘You were my tour guide!’ It just shows the big impact we have on campus,” Ehren explains.
With the confidence to take families on campus tours and the willingness to learn the new tricks of the teaching industry, Ehren is someone who is not shy or timid.
“I am always trying to meet new people and try new things,” says Ehren. “I think being outgoing and personable will shape me to be the person I am meant to be.”
There is no doubt that this person will be a special one. We thank Ehren for choosing CCU and making it her “own home.”
