Michael Perrotto
Name: Michael Perrotto
Hometown: Dumont, N.J.
Year in School: Senior
Major: Political Science
Michael Perrotto is already halfway through his final semester at Coastal. With graduation looming, this senior political science student has his eye on one final goal. He wants to be perfect.
“I want to achieve my first 4.0 here at Coastal. I have been close a couple times but I haven’t reached it yet,” Michael explains.
But instead of looking ahead at the seven weeks Michael has left on campus, let’s take some time to reflect on his past three and a half years. Attracted by the academic opportunities offered at Coastal, Michael decided to make the move from Jersey to Conway. He immediately found out one of the main reasons that distinguishes Coastal from other institutions: the faculty.
“My favorite moment at CCU so far has definitely been able to interact with some of the professors I have met,” Michael says.
By way of building strong relationships with his professors, Michael has succeeded in his classes, posting strong GPAs throughout his time as a student (hopefully it culminates with Michael reaching his goal come May). He has also involved himself with the CCU Fashion Club, giving him an outlet to express himself outside of the classroom. All in all, Michael’s time on campus has had a positive impression on him.
“Coastal taught me to be a responsible person. It has increased my work ethic and I definitely feel like I am a stronger individual than I was four years ago,” Michael states.
After Coastal, Michael hopes to run political campaigns, especially with Senate candidates. A strong anti-bullying advocate, you can bet that Michael will lend his services to those politicians who take a hard stance on this issue. We wish Michael the best and we thank him for letting us feature him.
