Coastal and Socastee High to perform choir concert

Coastal Carolina University’s Chamber and Concert choirs and Socastee High School’s Advanced Mixed choir will perform a joint concert at the high school on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Each choir will present several selections individually, and the concert will conclude with a performance by the combined choirs.

In addition, local string musicians Tamar Ben-Pazi, Lynn Auman and Pam Lawson will accompany the choirs on one selection. Scarlet Livingston, Socastee’s choir director and a Coastal graduate, will also be featured as a vocal soloist.

Terri Sinclair, who joined the Coastal faculty this fall, is the director of Coastal’s Chamber and Concert choirs. She earned a doctorate of musical arts (DMA) degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a master’s degree from Florida State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
