About the Health Sciences Program

The Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences prepares students for careers in the high-growth areas of health care occupations.

This "generalist" program provides students an opportunity to pursue a foundational and broad-based program in health sciences and related health care professions.

The flexible health sciences curriculum allows students to design an individualized path towards various medical programs and allied health professions (e.g., physical therapy, patient care, and lab/clinical/tech support). This program is also ideal for students who want a specialized pathway for graduate studies or those who are undecided on a health care career.

Students in the health sciences program will learn about the health care system and its wide range of professional opportunities; apply content knowledge and scientific, leadership, and bioethical principles to address contemporary health issues; develop effective communication skills as a health care professional; understand health care trends and data analytics; and participate in selected clinical experiences to develop clinical skills and credentials.
