Enroll at CCU

Welcome to Teal Nation!

Congratulations on your acceptance to Coastal Carolina University! The information on this page will guide you through your next steps of becoming a Chanticleer.

Make sure you also check out the Admitted Student Guide. This is a great resource about all things CCU.

Your acceptance letter included your CCU credentials (username and temporary password). Your first step is to set up your CCU account. This will allow you to view your financial aid package when it is available, enroll at CCU, set up your CCU email, and more.

Your CCU account is set-up through Microsoft 365. If you already have a Microsoft account you are logged into, you can log out of that account, or open a "private" or "incognito" window in your web browser to complete this step.

Please use the Account Setup Instructions to set up your CCU account. Once you have completed this step, you have successfully created your MyCCU portal.

You can contact the Office of Admissions and Merit Awards at admissions@coastal.edu or at 843-349-2170 to request assistance. If you don't remember your password, please visit https://www.coastal.edu/app/accountsetup/ to reset your password.

The next step in the enrollment process is to submit your $300 enrollment deposit. The enrollment deposit reserves your place at CCU. The enrollment deposit serves two purposes - $100 is credited to your tuition bill and $200 is the new student orientation fee. Please make sure to enroll by the established deadlines to secure your place.

Follow the Enrollment Deposit Instructions on this page to pay the deposit.

Phone: You can pay the enrollment deposit over the phone with a credit card. Please call 800-277-7000 or 843-349-2170.

Enrollment deposits are not refundable after May 1 for the fall semester and December 15 for the spring semester.

2024-2025 FAFSA Available after January 1!
Historically, the FAFSA has been available beginning October 1st each year. However, because of significant changes to the application and the rebuild of the FAFSA processing system, the 2024-2025 FAFSA will not be available until January 2024. Students are encouraged to fill out the FAFSA after January 1. You can learn more about these changes here.

After the enrollment deposit is paid, you can apply for University Housing. The spring housing application opens in November and the fall housing application opens in February. You can learn more about the housing application process here.

All new students are required to attend Orientation. Spring Orientation registration opens in November and fall Orientation registration opens in March. You can learn more about Orientation here.

As you get closer to officially becoming a Chanticleer, there are a few more steps you'll need to complete. This includes determining your South Carolina residency status (for South Carolina residents only) and verifying your lawful presence (all students). You can also view the New Student Checklist to find a comprehensive list of everything that needs to be completed before you can start classes.

Students can defer their admission for up to two years (four regular semesters) for a gap year, military service, service/mission experiences, or for other extenuating circumstances. You are required to submit the $300 enrollment deposit prior to submitting the Request for Deferred Admission Form.
