Faculty-Led Programs Abroad
Coastal Carolina University's faculty-led programs abroad offer students the opportunity to participate in short-term credit-bearing experiences that combine academics with overseas travel. All are led by Coastal Carolina University faculty who have participated in training to support students, the learning environment, and risk management for all programs.
Depending on the program, students are generally abroad between one and three weeks. Many faculty-led programs are oriented towards specific majors, though some courses will fulfill Core Curriculum requirements. Students who travel abroad with CCU faculty can gain first-hand experience by:
- Conducting field research where the ocean is the classroom;
- Gaining foreign language proficiency in a host country where practice is key;
- Understanding business structure and practices in some of the largest economies outside of the U.S.;
- And more!
Meet with your faculty advisor to see if courses offered can count towards your degree requirements.
