Spring Semester Closing 2024

University Housing Closes Thursday, May 2 at Noon

It is hard to believe it is time to close the residential facilities for another academic year. All University Housing facilities will close on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 12 p.m. Residents must check out within 24 hours after their last exam or no later than Thursday, May 2, at 12 p.m., whichever comes first. Anyone remaining after 12 p.m. without permission from University Housing may be charged a $100 improper checkout fee.

All residents must schedule a checkout appointment in MyCoastalHome or complete an Express Checkout. Residents will be able to start scheduling their checkout time starting Friday, April 19. University Housing will provide additional instructions for approved extended stay residents, including alternative timeline and appointments.

During the week of April 15-19, RAs will conduct closing floor meetings. All residents are expected to attend to receive vital information regarding University Housing spring closing. Check with your RA to see when yours is scheduled.

Unwanted belongings that are in good condition may be conveniently donated to Campus Salvage. PODS will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Wednesday, April 24, and optional donation bags will be available at the Ingle, Tradition and Grand Strand Community Desks. Look for PODS in the following locations:

  • Near Azalea Hall

  • Between Cypress and Oak
  • Across from Tradition Basketball Court
  • Near Piedmont 1030
  • Outside Grand Strand Activity House
