Extended Stay Housing
There are times when residents need to stay on campus after housing closes or return early before housing opens. First and foremost, residents should always adhere to the published Opening and Closing Dates and plan accordingly.
All residents requesting to return early prior to University Housing opening or stay late after University Housing closing must be included on a department list emailed to University Housing by the Extended Stay Sponsor (i.e., coach, supervisor or advisor). Extended Stay is a privilege and therefore can be denied or revoked if deemed necessary or appropriate. University Housing reserves the right to refuse Extended Stay requests as administratively necessary.
Due to limited staff and services during these times, anyone approved for an Extended Stay will be expected to behave appropriately and follow all policies and procedures. The housing charge for your extended stay will be posted onto your student account prior to the start of your extended stay based on the rates listed below. Meal plans are not active during extended stay periods.
Students who need an extended stay due to an approved University functions or purposes will be required to complete the Extended Stay Agreement in MyCoastalHome. Typically this agreement is available approximately six weeks prior to housing opening or closing. Once you have completed this agreement, University Housing will review and match your request with the department list. An automated email will be sent to your CCU account with an update on the status of your request.
