Remote Work Exclusions 

While the University has established a broad remote work/flex work program for classified staff and unclassified administrators, not all positions are suitable for remote work based on the nature of the job duties performed and/or the nature of departmental operations.  Below is a listing of state job classifications that have been deemed ineligible for remote work.  

For employees in classifications on the remote work exclusion list, flexible scheduling may be considered.  Ultimately, it will be the decision of the employee’s administrative channel regarding the feasibility of flexible scheduling based on the factors above, as well as other factors, such as performance.

Important Note:  If your state job classification does not appear on the list of Remote Work Exclusions, that does not mean that you automatically qualify to work remotely.  It simply means your position may be considered for a remote work arrangement.  If interested, you will need to apply to the program and your application will be subject to administrative review.
