Where History Can Take You

Managing a Museum

“Like many students, I originally went to Coastal for Marine Science. But the history faculty ignited a spark in me I never knew I had. Since graduating, my history career has taken me from maritime museums to the Smithsonian, to my current role where I manage a historic house and design museum. I enjoy sharing my passion for history with others and engaging the public in meaningful ways. My time at CCU encouraged me to keep learning, growing, and asking questions about the world around me. It launched a career I never knew was possible, and one that I truly love!"

M.A. in Historic Preservation from Savannah College
Manager, Octagon Museum

Practicing Law

“History at CCU prepared me for a career in the practice of law. History taught me how to conduct research efficiently, think critically, and to express myself in a manner that is clear and persuasive. From the moment I set foot in law school, I was grateful to have the skills that I developed studying history at Coastal."
