Why CCU for History and Social Studies Education?
The Bachelor of Arts in History and Social Studies Education (HSSE) is a four-year undergraduate program that prepares you to be a successful career educators. The program combines courses that allow you to meet your education certification requirements to teach social studies in high school with courses in history and closely related fields to ensure you become content experts.
The HSSE major combines the skills of a historian, such as understanding complex, global perspectives and conducting research, with the skills of an educator, such as communicating effectively and thinking critically.
