The Caribbean and Latin American Studies (CLAS) minor at Coastal Carolina University educates you to be active, global citizens for the 21st century and prepares you for a variety of careers in education, NGOs, public health, entertainment, business, government, and other professions. This interdisciplinary minor provides you with the knowledge and skills to learn about the diverse peoples, history, society, and cultures of the Caribbean and Latin America. You will learn how to apply a scholarly approach to understanding the historical and contemporary issues facing these geographic areas and multiple strategies for addressing them.
