The Department of Kinesiology is a dynamic unit of faculty, staff and students that study and promote human movement (kinesiology) as applied to a variety of physical activity, sport, therapeutic and recreational settings.

Our role is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, abilities, and attitudes for effective leadership in today's physical activity and sport.

We excel not only by teaching well, but by engaging students in hands-on research, community service projects, and field-based leadership opportunities. In the fast-growing world of kinesiology, students will find opportunity – opportunities to learn, to grow, and to lead in a stimulating, current and engaging academic, community or professional environment.

Nationally, regionally and locally, there is a demand for kinesiology services and programs. We have responded by providing contemporary and attractive academic programs. Kinesiology has experienced rapid growth over the last few years, and currently is the CCU department with the third largest undergraduate enrollment in the university with over 700 students and the largest enrollment in the Conway Medical Center College of Health and Human Performance.
