What is Statistics?
Statistics is the science of understanding data. It is an entire process ranging from designing studies and data collection, to summarizing and representing data, using data to make inferences and build models, and interpreting results.
Statistics is a highly interdisciplinary study that uses math and computer programming as tools in addition to subject matter expertise. In a world abundant with data, knowledge of statistics is imperative.
