Coastal announces student leader positions for 2005-2006

New Student Government Association (SGA) and student media positions have been announced for the 2005-2006 academic year at Coastal Carolina University.

The following students have been elected as officers for the SGA:

* John Adamec, a senior marine science major of Niskayuna, N.Y. - president

*Janet Shokal, a junior psychology major of New Hampton, N.H. - vice president

* Erin Prince, a senior health promotions major of Whitehall, Ohio - treasurer

* Heather Remley, a junior biology major of Leesport, Pa. - secretary

The following students have been selected for student media positions with The Chanticleer, Coastal's student newspaper; Tempo, Coastal's student feature magazine; and Archarios, the student literary art publication:

* Anne-Marie D'Onofrio, a senior marine science major of Raleigh, N.C., editor, The Chanticleer

* Rebecca Powell, a junior English major of Conway, assistant editor, The Chanticleer

* Paul Robinson, a sophomore art studio major of Bayshore, N.Y., art director, The Chanticleer

*Michelle Rogers, a junior chemistry major of Conway, business manager, The Chanticleer

* Krystin Mementowski, a junior English major of Streetsboro, Ohio, editor, Tempo

* Laura Nagel, a junior English major of Mason, Ohio, assistant editor, Tempo

* Douglas Greene, a senior art studio major of Coward, art director, Tempo

* Ashley Batliner, a junior biology major of Lees Summitt, Mo., editor, Archarios

* Andrew Bartlett, a senior art studio major of Scranton, art director, Archarios
