2009-2010 student leadership positions announced

New student leader positions have been announced for the 2009-2010 academic year at Coastal Carolina University.

These positions in the Office of Student Activities and Leadership include Student Media, Coastal Productions and Students Taking Active Responsibility (STAR).

The following students have been selected for student media positions with The Chanticleer, the student newspaper; Tempo, the student feature magazine; and Archarios, the student literary/art publication:

The Chanticleer

* Maegan Sweat, a junior English major of Orangeburg, editor

* Corrie Lee Lacey, a junior communication major of Louisa, Va., assistant editor

* Barbara Astrini, a freshman art studio major of Myrtle Beach, art director

* Ronnie Murray, senior health promotion major of Charleston, business manager

Tempo

* Amanda Kraft, a junior art major from Myrtle Beach, editor

* Darren Cripe, a junior business management major of Newberg, assistant editor

* Leilani Derr, a sophomore art major of Myrtle Beach, art director

Archarios

* Stephanie Bouzounis, a sophomore English major of Myrtle Beach, editor

* Braden Pate, a junior art major of Cheraw, art director

Officers for Coastal Productions Board include:

* Katie McClure, junior biology major of Van West, Ohio, special events coordinator

* Elizabeth Schmidt, freshman elementary education major of Cheverly, Md., showcase coordinator

* Nataly Garzon, sophomore musical theatre major of Greenville, program coordinator

* Rachel Hogan, freshman communication major of Phoenix, Md., weekend coordinator

* Ryan D'Alessandro, freshman art major of Conway, public relations and administrative coordinator

Students serving in leadership roles for the Students Taking Active Responsibility (STAR) organization include:
