Biography

Betsey Costner is the Director of Clinical Experiences and Educator Licensure.  She works with the Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences partnering school districts to place Education majors in school settings for field experience courses and internships at the undergraduate and graduate level.  Mrs. Costner has an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education from Coastal Carolina University (CCU) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University. Prior to coming to CCUl, Mrs. Costner was a classroom teacher in grades Prek-4 and served as a mentor teacher for field experience students, interns, and initially certified teachers in both North and South Carolina. Mrs. Costner teaches courses in the Foundations Department and for the South Carolina Teaching Fellows Program.
