Surfside Beach Volunteer Monitoring
Since 2010, a small group of trained volunteers have monitored Myrtle Lake and Lake Dogwood as part of the Surfside Beach Stormwater Committee's efforts to improve the quality of the town's local water resources. This volunteer-based effort engages residents in monitoring the health of the Town's lakes, helps identify areas for improvement, and helps to better protect our lakes and ocean for the future enjoyment by our citizens and our visitors.
