What is Delta Alpha Pi?

Delta Alpha Pi (DAPi) is an international academic honor society founded to recognize high-achieving students with disabilities who are attending colleges (including community colleges) and universities as undergraduate or graduate students.  This dynamic organization celebrates and supports academic achievement, leadership, and advocacy for post-secondary students with disabilities.

DAPi welcomes students with all types of disabilities.

Coastal Carolina University is home to the Theta Iota Chapter of Delta Alpha Pi.

What is the purpose of DAPi?

Because of the negative stereotyping associated with having a disability, students have been reluctant to identify themselves publicly. Delta Alpha Pi International Honor Society (DAPi) presents the opportunity to change that perception by recognizing students with disabilities for their academic accomplishments. In addition, this honor society facilitates the development of skills in leadership, advocacy, and education related to disability issues.
